Black Art History Month

Black Art History Month

Black Art History Month is back in its second iteration! This year, in celebration of Black History Month, a new curator will be featured everyday, who has contributed to the field of black art history through their scholarship and exhibitions. These curators have worked to bring black artists to the forefront of art historical discourse, to challenge and rewrite exclusionary histories. They bring to light the prolific, albeit unrecognized, artists of the past and magnify the emerging voices of the next generation. Most importantly, they work to expand our visual literacy and collective understanding of the world as we are exposed to new ways of seeing and feeling.
